El Centro Nacional de Epidemiolog\u00eda, Prevenci\u00f3n y Control de Enfermedades (CDC Per\u00fa) del Ministerio de Salud del Per\u00fa (Minsa), a trav\u00e9s de la Direcci\u00f3n de Vigilancia en Salud P\u00fabica, indic\u00f3 que, durante los \u00faltimos cinco a\u00f1os, fueron notificados cerca de 9 mil casos de loxoscelismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El envenenamiento por mordeduras de ara\u00f1as del g\u00e9nero loxosceles o conocidas tambi\u00e9n como ara\u00f1as caseras, constituye un importante problema de salud p\u00fablica que causa morbilidad y mortalidad y que es responsable de diversas discapacidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En lo que respecta del presente a\u00f1o, CDC Per\u00fa detall\u00f3 que hasta la semana epidemiol\u00f3gica 03 \u2013 2022, se han notificado 29 casos. Identificando que el 86,2% de ellos, provienen de las regiones de Amazonas, San Mart\u00edn, Arequipa y Lima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En este contexto, CDC Per\u00fa hace un llamado a la poblaci\u00f3n para que pueda identificar los signos y s\u00edntomas del loxoscelismo e ir al establecimiento de salud m\u00e1s cercano si presenta: dolor progresivo, prurito local (picaz\u00f3n), intranquilidad, malestar general, fiebre \u2013 escalofr\u00edos y eritema \u2013 edema (coloraci\u00f3n rojiza o lila), luego del contacto o mordedura de ara\u00f1as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cabe resaltar que este tipo de accidentes por ar\u00e1cnidos son frecuentes en zonas urbanas, urbano marginales y rurales de la costa y sierra, debido a los h\u00e1bitos domiciliarios del artr\u00f3podo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finalmente, CDC Per\u00fa recomienda tener en cuenta las siguientes medidas de prevenci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En el periodo 2016 y 2021, se han notificado 8,850 casos de loxoscelismo y 8 defunciones por esta enfermedad en el Per\u00fa.
